18.4.2012 severe storm in turkey

These are pictures from Istanbul, where the storm that also swept through Greece reached speeds of up to 106kmh. Turkish news agencys say that in western Turkey at least 4 people died, many more got injured. 350 houses lost their roofs, alone in istanbul. street sighns and advertisements got wriped onto the streets. A bridge in istanbul had to be closed because of the wind. Because of this massive storm 40 flights in Istanbul got canceled. On Crete in Greece the storm even reached 107kmh. A couple of boats sank, and a jacht cought on fire, but fishermen managed to rescue the passengers. The storm Natalie had formed when 30 °C warm air from turkey came together with 20°C cool air from the alps.
