In today's convective forecast, ESTOFEX (European Storm Forecast Experiment) expects thunderstorms to form mainly in two regions: western Germany (and far N Switzerland) and from the British Isles along the western coast of France to northern Spain. ESTOFEX has also issued a level one warning for western Germany and far northern Switzerland, stating that the main risks are large hail and severe wind gusts. However, in northwestern Germany, they also predict and increased risk for a possible tornado to take place. A second level 1 region was issued for the Pyrenees, with the same main risks as those in Germany.
Over all, it looks like this will be quite in interesting day with fairly decent severe weather potential in central Europe.
