A form of slippery roads, in which vehicles with high speed lose the grip on a wet road. The situation is the same as icy roads for the driver. With too much water on the road, the tyre is not able to rid enough water through the profile of the tyre, so that it loses grip. This can also occur when (large) aircraft land. Therefore the forecast of intense rainfalls is becoming more and more important in the aviation meteorology lately.
